What is Fairmount Fair?

That's the ultimate question.

For some Fairmount Fair is a mall... a childhood hangout... somewhere to go because there is nowhere else to hang out.

But for those longing for music, art, and culture, the dream has always been to make Fairmount Fair into a website... an online place to virtually hang out.

To some Fairmount Fair is a band based in Athens GA that makes experimental hip-hop songs and short films, often addressing issues of the pains of suburban sprawl and other such evils.

Fairmount Fair, in essence, has always broken down to one thing: finding that glimmer of beauty, not in something that everyone agrees is the norm, but in something that you find for yourself and that makes YOU happy.

We encourage you to send us postings, be it reviews of movies, records, books or anything else you want to send, and if we like it then we will post it. Think of the bored kids in suburbia still out there today and let's give them some hope for the future.

"Good Times! Great Games!"

Sincerely,
the Fairmount Fair staff
